enabling online accounts, and personalizing Money
2000.
Step-by-Step Navigation: A
new task-based design makes Money 2000 easier than
ever. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, the
next step is always perfectly clear.
Financial Centres: Related
tasks and information are conveniently grouped
together in five Financial Centres: Investing,
Planning, Taxes, Car and House.
Money Express: Enter
transactions right from your desktop to save time.
Money Express automatically downloads updates from
the Web for you too!
Get multiple statements at once:
Connect to all your accounts with just one
click. Smart Internet Connection allows you to
connect to multiple online financial institutions
with one call. You can save multiple passwords for
each institution under your Microsoft password to
minimize data entry.
Streamlined statement
reconciliation: New, single page statement
combines all downloaded statements for easier
reconciliation with your accounts. Duplicate
transactions are automatically discarded, QIF files
don't have to save prior to import, and incorrect
security symbols are fixed during investment
statement reconciliation.
Money E-Bills: Pay and
receive bills electronically online. Money 2000
provides support for direct payment through a
financial institution, payment through a financial
institution's Web site, and payment through a third
party such as Transpoint or Check Free.
Common Transaction Button: Enter
your most common transactions with just one click.
The new Common Transactions button lists the amounts
of up to five previous withdrawals, transfers and
deposits, plus "debit card purchases with cash
back" and "multi-check deposits" too.
AutoCategorization: Effortlessly
categorize transactions at more than half a million
businesses. Money 2000 recognizes businesses based
on the Sidewalk® yellow pages database and over 400
key words such as "café" and
"pet." Type a recognized business or key
word in a transaction, and AutoCategorization
automatically fills in the correct category.
Register Enhancements: Use
Transaction Forms or enter data directly into the
Account Register. In-register forms provide field
text guides for easy reference when entering
transactions. For users converting from Quicken,
"Show Transaction Forms" is automatically
turned off to provide a familiar interface.
Bill Calculator: You can
easily identify which bills you can afford to pay.
By selecting one or more scheduled transactions from
a single account, Money 2000 calculates what the
balance will be after those transactions are
entered. Additionally, you can assign bills to
specific paychecks in Money 2000.
Bills Calendar: Using the
at-a-glance view, you can see upcoming and recorded
bills in a calendar format. View the current, past,
or future months. Click on any day to see a detailed
list of transactions due on that day. Edit or pay
the bills directly from the calendar view.
Budget Planner: "Pay
yourself first" and create an actionable and
realistic budget. The Budget Planner helps you track
and forecast your monthly and annual expenses, and
make contributions to short- and long-term savings
accounts.
Debt Reduction Planner: Create
a comprehensive debt reduction plan that will help
you make smart trade-offs on what debt to pay off
first, as well as how to schedule your debt
reduction payments and get out of debt the quickest
way possible.
Money Help & Answer Wizard: Type
questions in your own words and get relevant help
with the Answer Wizard using Microsoft's innovative
Natural Language Query technology. Get an automatic
list of the most common help topics by area, plus
