Applix Presents is the first fully-featured presentation environment for Linux. Full-color, persuasive departmental, sales, technical and training presentations can be authored and viewed on your workstation, distributed directly on the network or linked to enterprise applications.

As an Applixware component, Presents may be customized with ELF and programmed with Applix Builder. Plus Applix Presents shares Applixware's rich set of import/export filters. As a result, Presents can draw from virtually any source on the network for key presentation elements. Users can easily extend the supplied font collection with both Adobe and TrueType fonts.

Important features include a range of templates and backgrounds complete with color schemes, slide sorter, speaker notes, handout forms, slide transition effects for on-screen presentations, extensive drawing tools, a clip-art collection with over 2000 images and a chart-making utility. Presentations saved as slide shows may be viewed by anyone with any Applixware component license.

Presents also has powerful, unique capabilities, including managed layers and animation, a snap-to-clipboard that allows the capture of any application screen, and exact rotation and scaling for more precise drawing. Pixel editing provides fine control over images. In addition, by simply exporting slides through the GIF filter to Applix HTML Author, Presents slides can be converted for use on Web pages.

The most powerful capability of Presents is the ability to tailor and automate presentations through Applix Builder, which is available on the Developer's Edition. All elements of the user interface, including the menus and icons, can be completely customized. Macros can be attached to graphics objects to provide special effects or interactive branching to hyperlinks, or to dynamically vary the presentation.
