The Philips AZ7883 portable CD player provides all of the basics
and then goes a little further than other models. In addition to
being able to play standard compact discs, it has the advanced
capability to read CD-Rs (recordable CDs), which are often not
readable by conventional CD players. A special foil surface is
durable, scratch resistant, and protects the player from
extremely high temperatures. This design is super-compact and
has a large, bright, very easy-to-read LCD display. The AZ7883
ensures uninterrupted playback with a 45-second Electronic Skip
Protection, which works well even during recurring vibrations.
Among the many features is the 3-stage Dynamic Bass Boost, which
selects the amount of additional bass reproduction up to 8
decibels. When combined with the lightweight headphones, this
adds a rich, deep tone at all listening volumes. It comes with
car accessories and if its 12-hour playing time isn't
sufficient, an AC/DC adapter is provided.
