The Compaq Microcom 420 56K PC Card Fax Modem keeps global business travelers connected with 56K analog data speeds on their portable computers. This Compaq modem’s fast, high-quality, easy Internet and remote LAN communications give international travelers access to all the information they need, when they need it. It is engineered with both V.90 and K56Flex technologies for seamless connectivity, 2 MB of flash ROM for simple software upgrades, multiple country approvals for international travel, Digital Line Protection for extra reliability, and Plug and Play configuration for easy installation.

56Kb/s Technology delivers up to 56Kb/s downloads and 31.2Kb/s uploads over existing phone lines via K56flex1 technology. This modem has been designed with 2MB of flash ROM that allows the modem to store both K56flex and the final ITU 56K standard, V.90!!
